Welcome to the Official Web Site of the West Chester Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 3518. We represent all of the 40 full-time Firefighters / Paramedics and 15 Lieutenants within the Fire Department since 1993.
While the Fire Department employs approximately 140 people of various backgrounds, our 55 members provide the consistent staffing needed to support the daily fire and emergency medical demand. Local 3518 members account for approximately 70% of the regular daily staffing, working a 24-48 hour shift schedule that totals 2,704 hours per member each year.
As members of the International Association of Fire Fighters, we strive to deliver a professional level of service to our community while ensuring a healthy, safe and equal work environment for our members.
